Gerry Townsend founded M&M Office Products April 1, 1998, after his employer sold to a larger office machines corporation which closed the sales and service offices he managed in Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio and West Virginia. Gerry spent the first several months working from home to establish M&M Office in Southern Indiana before moving into a 600 square foot office.
An Administrative Assistant and Service Technician joined the team before moving to the current home office in 2000. Initially, the current office building was acquired in partnership with an insurance company which occupied half of the former bank and restaurant.
In 2008 a satellite sales and service office was opened in Seymour, IN to support a growing client base in that area and north to Columbus, IN. Four years later, Gerry’s son Nick opened, established and grew another satellite office in Scottsburg, IN.
M&M Office Products was able to gain full ownership of the home office building in 2014 when the owner of the insurance company retired.
Expansion into the other half of the building was immediate. As the company continued to grow the need for an inventory staging and management facility became apparent.
A 4,000 square foot warehouse was built in 2020 to house new and previously enjoyed inventory and perform testing, configuration and certification.
2025 saw some of the largest changes in M&M Office’s history. M&M Office Products was rebranded to M&M Office Solutions. Gerry Townsend became CEO of the company while Nick Townsend became the President. The company was able to acquire the building next to the home office almost doubling usable space without relocating.
M&M Office Solutions now employs 17 team members, serving almost 1,000 clients in the Kentuckiana area.
